As part of their yearly Ramadhan activity, Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera dan Arkitek (PUJA) Brunei organised a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony last week, on Thursday, 30th May, 2019. The ceremony began at 5:30 PM at the Ministry of Development Headquarters in Berakas, and was proceeded with a Tahlil ceremony followed by an Iftar session.

Attending the event as the Guest of Honour was the Minister of Development, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Ir. Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, who was accompanied byAr. Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin (Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Development) and Ir. Awang Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin POKAPDSS Haji Zakaria (Permanent Secretary under Infrastructure, Housing and Professional at the Ministry of Development).
Also present at the ceremony was PUJA President, Yang Berhormat FDr. Ar. Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti DSLJ Haji Abdul Rahman, alongside
Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof (PUJA’s Immediate Past President), Haji Mohammad Zin bin Haji Salleh (Vice-President of PUJA and Chairman of the Engineer Division), Nazhatulshima Haji Md. Jamil (Vie-President of PUJA and Chairman of the Surveyor Division), as well as other
PUJA members and staff.

The institute has been active in participating in and conducting monthly events and programmes for its members - including Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses - as means of fostering professionalism and strengthening affiliations (nationally and internationally) within the construction Industry. The event, therefore, serves as an opportunity for PUJA to promote this objective while celebrating this Holy month as an institutional community.

The evening consisted of more than 30 attendees, and was concluded with a mass Tarawih prayer.
